For the longest time I’ve used rails even for the smallest projects. Mostly because I love it’s power. Sprockets, ActiveRecord… oof.
But the time came when I used Sinatra, and it was really beautiful to have such a thin framework. To use it more often, I added over ActiveRecord and Sprockets. If you’d like to give it a whirl, you can take a look at the spin up here -> https://github.com/stopachka/tubby-sinatra
